Succession Planning
Should you decide to elect me again this term ( 2021 to 2025 ), I PROMISE that next term ( 2021 to 2025 ) will be my last 4 years as Chief. I PROMISE that I will use those 4 years to mentor council members who show an interest in becoming Chief after I'm gone. He/ She / They can accompany me on the many Local, Regional, Provincial and National meetings that I attend. That way they will gain knowledge of the system and the issues we all face, not only the local level, but at those levels as well.
Extensive experience is needed as a Chief of a First Nation Community.
In the past, I’ve taken Gr 12 high school students on these political trips so that they can also gain the necessary experience, this is something I will continue to do.
